Filming Star Trek began since November 7, 2007
taking place on at the Paramount backlot, as well as shooting in Iceland. Filming was also done at the City Hall of Long Beach( California ). Vasquez Rocks and the California State University, Northridge ( which used for establishing students at Starfleet Academy ).Dodger Stadium outdoor car park was used for a section of a Romulan drilling rig, industrial location was used for the Enterprise’s engines. second unit filming took place during early April in Bakersfield ( California ) standing in for Kirk’s childhood home in Iowa

Science fiction buffs and Trekkies will have to wait with Star Trek  May next year when the new Star Trek movie releases.
