Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are reprising their roles from the original HBO series. The show’s longtime executive producer, Michael Patrick King, is set to write and direct. Additionally, Chris Noth, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and Jason Lewis will return as the women’s love interests. Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls) has also joined the cast of the film and will play Carrie Bradshaw’s assistant, a new character to be introduced in the film. –© New Line Cinema

The continuing adventures of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda as they live their lives in Manhattan four years after the series ended.

The exact plot has yet to be revealed, but the trailer and various press releases do reveal that the movie takes place four years after the series finale. It also reveals that Mr. Big’s full name is John James Preston, and implies a number of plot lines, including problems with Big and Carrie’s wedding, Steve being unfaithful to Miranda, and Charlotte discovering she is finally pregnant. Also, Samantha has moved to Los Angeles with Smith and is struggling with her monogamous relationship.
